Brad and Twilla Cartmill both grew up in the Oklahoma City area. They have
been married over fifteen years and have two children Emilie and Bryce.
Brad knew for many years that he was called to preach but like many others
before him he fought his call. He graduated from the University of Central
Oklahoma with a degree in Oral Communications and a minor in Political
Science. After marriage and graduation from collage he began a career in
banking, ultimately becoming a branch manager for a large national bank.
Nothing he did as a professional satisfied the burning he had inside.
Finally in a moment of desperation he and Twilla sold their home and moved
their family to Fort Worth Texas to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological
Seminary.
After two years of working on his Masters of Divinity and preaching in a
small community in North Texas the Cartmill's decided to move to a church in
Oklahoma. It was a short time latter that Brad and Twilla, after much prayer
and consideration decided to leave the security of denominational preaching
and take a path closer to the heart of God.
The Cartmill family arrived in Van Buren Arkansas in September 2002 and
began the work of transforming a small non denominational church into a
fellowship of like minded believers wanting to chase God and see their lives
transformed into the likeness of Christ.
Brad and Twilla have tried to bring people to an understanding of who they
are in Christ. They have tried to teach that heaven is not a place to go to
but God is willing to bring heaven to earth today. Brad and Twilla want
people to grow into the role that God has for them.
